Where Be the Lore?

Big things are happening in our little world of Overwatch. No one has a very clear picture on what it is though.

Stylosa of Unit Lost Gaming has a lot of fantastic theories of what could be coming in light of the Numbani Map changes for PTR. Stylosa gives you a run down of everything that has happened to the Overwatch lore since it’s release. He then goes on to share some theories of what he would like to see in the near future. My personal favorite is having more PvE events. If you haven’t seen the video check out the link!

There have also been speculation that Junkrat, our beloved Junkrat, has a deep secret to the Omnics! Cursed Entertainment has a full video you can watch here. The video goes through all the little tid-bits of lore that we have so far and expand on how it all could fit together. It’s a really great video for all of you hungry for lore.

All sorts of mind explosions are happening since the Numbani Map leak. The major thing that everyone is dying to have is: Lore. Overwatch has an amazing amount of lore. From the cinematic trailers, to the comics, and in game character interactions. The game is dripping with lore. It’s just… there still isn’t any official lore released yet.

Almost a year later since the release and we haven’t had any official lore. The comic that was supposed to release early this year was canceled. This comic was going to unveil the mysteries of the Omni Crisis and show us how Overwatch was formed. There could be a possibility that the Overwatch Development Team felt that they could put that into the game and make it into an event of some sort. To that I would die, literally die, (and ask Mercy nicely for a Rez 😉 to get my hands on!

What would you like to see? What Lore is it you’re dying to know?

Personally I would love to see more PvE action. It’s great to grind in Competitive but it would be nice to see something a little different to break from the norm.

Thanks for reading!

Vocab

PTR – Public Test Region. This is the server, currently only available to PC players, where new content is tested.

PvE – Player versus Environment. Much like the Junkenstein’s Revenge event this is a mode where it’s a player, or group of players, against computers.
